Are your trays going to Atlanta or Altanta GA?

Just an FIY.  In the Maa dirs the USPS has decaded to cange the name of a citie.  Atlanta GA will know be Altanta GA.

Kinest reggerds!

Okay, so I guess I’m poking a little bit at the latest goof in the USPS directories. I just found this a bit humorous! You may notice that Atlanta GA is misspelled on some container labels and will show up as Altanta.

In the April 8th Postal Bulletin which announced the latest labeling list changes, the USPS misspelled this city but it appears to only be affecting one of the labeling lists L011. You could end up with containers showing the correct spelling if they are using a different labeling list. This will all depend on your sortation.

So now what??? Well, the USPS is going to have to accept their mistake until they fix this in their data. This is how it was presented by the USPS as well in the Postal Bulletin as shown below.

Hopefully the USPS spell checker will be working in June so the next set of directory data contains the correct information! I’ll admit it… I am the worst speller and LOVE spell check. Sorry USPS, please forgive me for pointing out your spelling error as my older sister would have done to me! I just hated when she would send me an email just to let me know what I had misspelled!
