I got a complaint from functional folks that some of the IMG nodes are missing in production environment. Finally the trace ended with conclusion that we activated extension set in production environment by keeping client setting production.Because client setting was production some of the associated BC sets were not activated and solution was to activate those BC sets manually after changing client setting to test.
Following Extensions Set Was Installed In Our Environment:
EA-CP | Consumer Products |
EA-DFP | DefenseForces&PublicSecurity |
EA-FIN | Financials Extension |
EA-FRC | FERC: Regulatory Reporting |
EA-FS | Financial Services |
EA-GLT | Global Trade Management |
EA-HR | Human Capital Management |
EA-ICM | Incentive & Commission Mgmt |
EA-ISE | Industry-Spec. Sales Enhancement |
EA-PLM | PLM Extension |
EA-PS | Public Services |
EA-RET | Retail |
EA-SCM | SCM Extension |
EA-TRV | Travel Management Extension |
JVA | Joint Venture Accounting |
Each of these extensions has BC Sets associated with them, which should get activated when the extension is activated, unless the system is in Productive mode. Please make sure the system is in non-productive mode before activating the SAP ECC extensions, or else manual activation of BC Sets will have to be performed as per note Note 855959 - Activation of Extension Sets via SPRO not successful
Change the client setting to Test Client:
For each Extension set, there are usually three BC Sets to be activated. For example for EA-HR Extensions, the three BC Sets to be activated
are -
EA-HR-AKH |
EA-HR-IMG |
EA-HR-MENU |
Step1 -> Go to transaction SCPR20
Enter the BC Set to be activated for EA-HR.
Click the Activate icon.
The system will ask you to assign the activation to a request.
Click Continue.
Use the default setting and click the Continue icon.
The system will return to the main screen with a message. Activation is successful.
Repeat these steps for each BC set for each SAP ECC Extension.
Go to transaction SCPR20PR and view the logs for of activation to make sure it was successful.
