Last week we successfully went live with R3 and SRM. Now, focus of our project team changed from SRM to CRM for next release implementation.

I started digging into backend connectivity configuration and trying to simulate with SRM. There are 4 important common tables which are used during initial connection setup between SAP R3->SRM and SAP R3->CRM.

Using transaction code SM30, we need to maintain these tables.

CRMCONSUM --> Table contains the consumers (applications) that are to receive data from the SAP R3 system.

CRMRFCPAR -->Table contains entry of receiving RFC and control parameters.

CRMPAROLTP --> CRM release must be declared in SAP R3 system. The data flow between R3 and CRM system required this setting.

CRMSUBTAB – Contains the name of the generic extractor.
