I'm sure you don't have any control over this, you're probably just the messenger, but this is a doozy:
"The presentation requires Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, Netscape Navigator 7.0 or later, or Internet Explorer 5.2.2 or later for Mac. To download the latest version of Internet Explorer from the Microsoft Web site, click OK."

Microsoft stopped shipping IE for Mac in January '06.

I think it's a shame in the age of HTML 5.0 that Firefox or Google Chrome are not supported.

Yes, it would be nice if us Mac users could view these as well.

      Hello Gregor

I have no problems to display the lecture within Firefox - all I had to to was to change the rendering machine (to Internet Explorer). The AddOn I use is "Coral IE Tab" (

I do even the Windows update using Firefox+AddOn.

I've talked to the team producing the Featured Lecture of the Week and the VSTE. Unfortunately, we have not found a solution to that works for Macs and the other browers.

The issue is that the sessions are produced using Microsoft Producer, which then requires IE for best viewing.

Here are the recommendations for best viewing:
      •     Windows 2000 or higher
      •     Windows Media Player 7.1 or higher
      •     Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
      •     Best viewed at 1024X768

I'll also add these requirements to the Upcoming schedule page.

We are still looking into other work arounds so we can have the Featured Lecture of the Week work for all browsers.  If we find a new solution, we'll post an update.
