Until now, with SAP Business workplace it was possible for the users to maintain the private office settings using menu path Settings-> Office settings or by executing the transaction code SO13 directly.
However when users migrated to CRM work-list they realized that it’s no longer possible to maintain Automatic forwarding and Automatic replies which was possible while they used SAP Business workplace ( GUI). Failure to maintain these, the users would never realize that there was an email sent to their SAP Inbox and hence would miss out on potential important piece of information as it is not longer possible to view the SAP Inbox within CRM work-list.
This blog helps in configuring the CRM work-list in such a way that it would be possible for the users to maintain the private office settings even from the UI work-list.
The CRM 7.0 Work-list is not an exact replica of SAP Business Workplace. CRM Work-list doesn’t have all the functionality that SAP Business Workplace had.
This blog gives a concrete solution to address one of the limitations that CRM work-list has viz. inability to maintain private office settings from the UI work-list.
The following steps were performed to enable a transaction launch of GUI transaction SO13 integrated into the work-list work-center.
Transaction Launch ID: ZPVTOFFSETTINGS
Step 1) SPRO Path -> Customer Relationship Management -> UI Framework -> Technical Role Defination ->Transaction Launcher-> Configure Transaction Launcher
Please Maintain Description and the custom class name as indicated below:
Select transaction Type as ‘BOR Transaction’, Logical System as ‘OWNLOGSYS’BOR Object type and method as indicated below:
* Please note that you could also use BOR Object TSTC and method EXECUTE instead of the custom BOR as shown above
Enter Parameter Settings: Object key = SO13 ( Tcode to be launched ) in the next screen as shown below:
Leave this section blank as indicated below:
Step 2) Logical Link Id (ZSO13) of type Launch Transaction with Parameter ZPVTOFFSETTINGS
SPRO Path for Customizing:
SPRO Path -> Customer Relationship Management -> UI Framework -> Technical Role Defination -> Define logical Links
Define Logical Link ID as ‘ZSO13′, type as ‘Launch Transaction’ and parameter is the launch transaction Id as generated in Step 1), Maintain Title and Description as below:
Step 3) Assignment of Logical Link to Work centre Link Groups:
SPRO Path->Customer Relationship Management -> UI Framework -> Technical Role Definition ->Define Navigation Bar profile and define workcentre Link group and then assign logical link ( created above) to this work centre link group (CT-WORKLST)
Figure out Work Centre Link Group ‘CT-WORKLST’ as listed below:
Assign the logical Link as created in step 2) indicated below:
Step 4) Assignment of Work-centre Link group to Work-centre:
SPRO Path->Customer Relationship Management -> UI Framework -> Technical Role Definition ->Define Navigation Bar profile and define work-centre (CT-WORKLST) and then assign to this work-centre the work-centre group Id (CT-WORKLST).
Figure out Work Centre ‘CT-WORKLST’ as listed below:
Assign the work-centre link group to the work-centre as indicated below: please ignore if this is already done.
Step 5) Lastly assign the work-centre to the concerned Navigation bar profile
Select your Navigation Bar profile ( one attached to your Business Role ) and then click on Assign Work Centre as shown below: ( Ignore if already an entry for this is made )
Maintaining Automatic Forwarding possible
Maintaining Auto- reply possible from UI.
