Thanks to everyone who took part in the New Poll: What is your favourite Winter Olympics Sport? posted in February 2010, asking “What is your favourite Winter Olypmic sport to follow?”

Here are the poll results:

This basic chart was created with Xcelsius. Think you can create a better Xcelsius chart? Or want to learn how to build one yourself?

Take part in the Xcelsius Challenge! Here are the steps:

  1. If you don’t have Xcelsius yet, download your free trial copy of Xcelsius Engage 2008. (Then go to Help – Quick Start to get started.)
  2. NEW! Enter the 30-day trial keycode: CC51B-H5E3T08-000N05T-90NW
  3. Use the data provided below and build a Xcelsius chart of your own design.
  4. Zip up and upload the Flash file (.swf format) through SCN’s Content Submission System. During the submission process, please remember to type in #XcDashboard in the Keyword section, so that all uploaded charts will be listed here.
  5. Optional: Add any other Olympics-related data or fancy add-ons to your Xcelsius presentation.
  6. Optional: Embed your Xcelsius chart in a blog post and describe how you created your chart.

Some of the benefits you may gain from taking part in the Xcelsius Challenge:

  • Learn how to use Xcelsius (if you don’t already know).
  • Showcase your dashboard design talents and Xcelsius know-how.
  • Get recognized: 20 SCN Contribution points for submitting your Xcelsius chart,  more points if your post a blog about your submission, and 150 points for having the coolest Olympics-theme Xcelsius dashboard.

  • we can create it by using many charts such as line chart, bar chart, column chart etc.We can insert a drill down option also for every sport to display individually.
      • Jason,

    • That’s fantastic!
Here are some more detailed steps:
In Xcelsius, export your chart to SWF format (File – Export – Flash (SWF)).

Then zip up the file, and upload the zipped file using SCN’s Content Submission System (link provided in Step 3 above). Remember to use #XcDashboard in the keyword field.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

      Regards,
      Jason
