What is the history of the Composite Designer?
The first officially delivered version of the Composite Designer is with SAP Net Weaver 7.1 CE EHP1 release. Of course, the technologies that the Composite Designer covered with this release were not as many as the current one.
With the next release SAP Net Weaver 7.2 CE the functionality of the framework was considerably improved in the respect of SOA. The Composite Designer covers an increased number of integrated technologies with corresponding development objects such as simplified services, composed services, rulesets, flow rulesets, and so on.
What are the future plans for the Composite Designer?
The current intentions for the Composite Designer are that it incorporates most of the technologies for creating a composite application in one central perspective.
The focus will continue to be on the product, which will be used from the Composite Designer as a central development unit.
