Are there any plans for adding EMP over SDN. Hope it gets a place in near future.
In addition to this, there has been some work going on w.r.t. Best practices for BI and it’s been pretty quite in the past few weeks.

Nonetheless, great approach and I welcome this.

    Regards.

      Hi Mohammad,

We’re pleased that you like these changes.

When you ask about EMP, do you mean Enterprise Performance Management? There are no plans to add it to SDN, as it is a better fit with BOC and BPX.
As for the BI Best Practices area, please stay tuned for an update that I expect in the next few weeks.

      With thanks,

      Kirby

      Hi Anand,

We don’t have a RapidMarts area yet but I will contact my colleague about creating one under the EIM area on SDN. Is there specific content that you are looking for?

      With thanks,

      Kirby

        Hi Kirby,

Thanks for your reply.I really look forward to that addition. Yes I am really looking forward to details on RM as there is not much on SDN currently. Especially content in terms of – ease of implementation, positioning in an SAP ECC BW environment, whether it addresses Operational BI to name a few.
        Cheers
        Anand

I understand and support expansion of BObj content on SDN, but we still need to know where to go for BW’s Business Explorer (BEx). Information about BEx has been removed from SAP Service MarketPlace (service.sap.com), but does not seem to re-appear on SDN. This created a “hell of references”, like if you are looking BEx/MSOffice dependencies, OSS Note send you to Service MarketPlace, Service MarketPlace sends you to SDN. But content is not there on SDN.

    Thanks,
    -Vitaliy

          Thanks, Kirby. It was useful.

I think link to this page should be called by product name “Business Explorer” or “BW Business Explorer”, not by NetWeaver capibility “Enterprise Reporting and Analysis”.

This link should be under SDN -> “Business Intelligence”, because BEx *is* SAP original BI tool.

          Regards.

Thanks Vitaliy. I’m putting together the updates for next month and will share your suggestion with others to figure out the best place for BEx content.

            Stay tuned for more news.
