Value Of An Integrated End-To-End Application Life-Cycle Management

Take the opportunity to provide us feedback on the new Application Life-Cycle Management presence in SDN.

We have recognized that the momentum in SDN around Application Life-cycle Management (ALM) -related topics (e.g. Solution Manager, Business Justification) is gaining more and more momentum. Further to this, a couple of customers/SDN members and SAP Mentors did great presentations on their experiences. Additionally, we spoke to more than 30 customers on an individual basis in terms of their understanding, experiences and needs to deploy an integrated end-to-end application life-cycle based on the broader SAP portfolio consisting of solutions, services and offered best practices. Thanks again to these customers for the insight and help – I really appreciated hearing from you!

All this feedback and increasing momentum around ALM demonstrated that we needed to take action and build a new and consolidated structure under an ALM SDN presence as an immediate next step to support the existing momentum. The main goal of the new presence is to offer all SDN members with different levels of experiences a place to get started with ALM from a basic understanding of the portfolio to the deployment/configuration of specific Solution Manager Capabilities. We would also like to build new content with the help of the community along the defined main categories of the presence (portfolio understanding, getting started, justification and deployment).

The opportunity to help to improve and evolve the Application Life-Cycle Management presence

With this blog I would like to introduce the new presence and motivate the SDN community to provide further feedback on the ALM aspects as such and on the presence but also ask the broader community to share experiences and best practices to make it a live and interactive community.

Post a blog with your feedback on what you are missing or/and describing the most pressing problems and challenges you are facing as major road blocks to enable a broader adoption of the life-cycle processes.

Enjoy the presence and I look forward to your feedback!
