The Test Environment for Mailer (TEM) is primarily for customers who wish to participate in the Intelligent Mail Full-Service option. The TEM system tests electronic documentation such as Mail.dat files.
No TEM testing is required to participate in just the Basic service option and move from the use of POSTNET barcodes to Intelligent Mail barcodes on letter and flat mail pieces.

If you get any errors during your testing please look at PostalOne! issuelist to see whether this is something already been reported and has a workaround.

An example from the issue list. This is a problem reported against PostalOne!
If you try to submit a Full Service BPM Flat Mail.dat with rate category as N = Basic (1C/4C Presort), it will incorrectly fail the validation. The workaround is to use Postage Statement wizard.
