docupedia at Teched

SAP’s technology product documentation community, docupedia, has come a long way since last year’s Teched.

Last year we were able to talk to some of our community members in strategy sessions and usability labs about the concept of a documentation community. Thanks to their feedback, we were able to launch docupedia in April 2009 to the SDN.

We have 16,000 visits a week and an average of 5000 visitors.

We now have six highlight topics, 7 volunteer content moderators, a community manager and an evangelist running docupedia.

We managed to improve the registration process so that you now can move between SDN and docupedia without extra logon or registration.

Many of you came to our demo pods and presentations at Teched Vienna and Phoenix.

Your input has been very encouraging – across the board,  feedback was positive around the value of a community centered around high quality, up-to-date and accurate documentation.

Carsten Brennecke – one of our documentation experts had a chance to chat with Mark Finnern about docupedia. Watch the replay here:

If you are at Teched Bangalore, please do come and see us at our demopod, or at our presentation.

And of course – go check out docupedia real-time:
