SAP has unified its separate core applications (SAP ERP 6.0; CRM 7.0; SCM 7.0;SRM 7.0 and PLM 7.0) on a single Netweaver platform. These applications make up the Business Suite.

But what if a customer is on CRM 3.0 or R/3 4.0b? How can they get from where they are today to Business Suite 7? Is there a direct upgrade? What if industry Solutions are involved? These questions were answered during a recent ASUG Chapter meeting in Chicago. During this presentation, Business Suite 7 fundamentals were presented along with technical considerations for the SAP ERP 6.0 upgrade. Slide 11 in the attached presentation, shows when a direct upgrade is possible to the Business Suite depending on the source release for R/3, CRM, SCM, SRM and PLM. This slide cleary and easily shows the upgarde paths so you don’t have to dig for the answer to these questions.

SAP ERP 6.0 with Enhancement Package 4, is the first step toward adopting the Business Suite. Over 3,500 customers are productive with Enhancement Package 4 and customer feedback has been very positive. There is less downtime; customers can pick and choose when they wish to deploy Enhancement Packages and the fucntionality they wish to deploy.

SAP Enhancement Packages will now apply to the entire Business Suite targeted for June 2010.
