Simply go to http://www.linkedin.com/opensocialInstallation/preview?_ch_panel_id=1&_applicationId=2600 and click on Add Application and follow the prompt to log in to your SCN (SAP Community Network) account.

Thanks to the comments on this blog I must also mention that you need to have enabled LinkedIn on your business card. To do that click My Profile -> Update Profile.
Click Update Business Card and click “Activate LinkedIn Connection as shown below.

Once integrated with your LinkedIn account your profile looks something like this:

SCN Bio Kevin Wilson

    Hi Kevin,

I’ve just set up the SAP Community Bio in my LinkedIn Profile. It worked smooth. Thanks for adding this feature.

    Best regards
    Gregor

MMMmmmmm…  Still having a problem, and I cleared my cookies.   Maybe it’s some strange firewall thing.   I’ll wait and try it from home tonight.

Per @steverumsby “… Have you got linkedIn integration enabled on your SCN business card? I got the same error until I turned that on.”

    All,

When you add the application in Linkedin, make sure you logged off from SDN before visiting Linkedin.

I had same issue, I logged off from SDN and went to Linkedin, clicked in ‘Add application’, it prompted to login to SDN, then it worked without any issues…

First access your Busines Card profile on SDN and activate the LinkedIn tocken and save.

Then logon to LinkedIn and add the application and the tocken will appear.

If you change your Business Card, then perform the steps again.

LinkedIn only saves some Business Card data (at confirmation of the tocken….) and the link to the Business Card.

For me it worked with FireFox only.

    Cheers,
    Julius

        Found something in my profile:
Click on YOUR ACCOUNT tab. Scroll down to LINKEDIN INTEGRATION.
        LinkedIN User Token.

I see my http://… to my linkedin profile, but it is not working (yet). Do I need to wait?

Got the following reaction from SAP

the LinkedIn application no longer works. We apologize for this problem. We are aware of it and have reported it to our Development Support group. At this time we have no estimate from them on when the problem will be resolved. We hope to have it resolved soon. Your patience in this matter is most appreciated.

          So I’ll wait …

Hi all, am still having this error! There is no linkedin token or activation link in my SCN Business Card.

Any new development or advise on this?
