See:

As @Blag and @Thorstener and I kicked around ideas, with input from countless others (not infinite numbers, I just didn’t want to count them), we started with very rough and rude ideas for video awards.  Many were knee jerk reactions to specific videos, like using your child (or perhaps a child actor, who knows) for sympathy and artificial poignancy.

After a little thought, we rejected the crudest and most singular awards, because we wanted to make this competitive.  Or something.

So without (much) further ado, here are the Award Nominations.  If you don’t like what you see,you could be the next Hollywood mogul.  Or Bollywood mogul.

I am astonished that my humble SCN video was nominated in three categories, among these strong contenders. So who are the final judges, and are they open to last minute persuasion? Not that I would even think of facilitating gratuities of any kind, just asking…
Thank you, members of the nominating committee!

… attached to the wiki.  Well, their certificates are attached.  Please congratulate them!  The judges had a difficult time making a decision, what with the score of entries (that would be, oh, less than 20).  In the interest of saving papers, the certificates exist in digital form.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank the academy and my mother and all my other supporters.

BTW, I was chatting with a friend who knows video editing – describing the project – he said ‘Let me guess, you used ‘My Life’ by the Beatles?’

I guess I am nothing if not predictable.
    Mr. DeMille?  Mr. DeMille?

I’m honored that my video has been accepted into the category “Least Set design”. I can see that I need to do something with my video set at home, so I can get some of the lovely posters I have in my home office with as well.

    Hi Jim,
I am shocked that I have to run against Dennis Howlett in the “Scariest Performance” category. When it comes to scary, nobody matches Dennis. Jon and I can just as well tear up our thank you speeches for the SCNotties night.
Also, I’m disappointed that the “Best use of child to gather attention” category, in which @Blag and I were fighting a neck-and-neck race, has been cut off. But life goes on!
    Cheers,
    Thorsten
