I gave a presentation on Thursday about Google wave and SAP at the Virtual Community Day.
I think it went all ok, and I hoped that people learned something. It was interesting to try to give the presentation and talk about my current passion. There were a few technical problems with some demos not working out super perfect and the scripting in the demos could be better. But given the options I really liked the event.
The video can be seen at https://sap.emea.pgiconnect.com/p65465071/, if you want to see the live demos.
It is possible to see the slides hire.
It has been really interesting to see how the SAP community reacted to the Google Wave project. The presentation became much better, because I could use other peoples work instead of just my own. Uwe Fetzer did a really great job on his REST demo.
The problem with presenting on this virtual conference was it was difficult to have contact with the audience. Was the thinks that I was saying useful or was I just mumbling. I tried to follow in the chat, but it was difficult to focus on the chat and speak at the same time. I will gladly do the presentation another time.
I like the Virtual Community Day event, it was easy accessible and there were some really interesting speakers along the way. I’m looking forward to the next episode of community days.
