After a very successful Cluetrain ride to TechEd Berlin last year, some of us would like to repeat it for Vienna this year. If you don’t know what the TechEd Cluetrain is all about, you can read Craig Cmehil’s blog post from last year here.

This year the event will take place on Monday October 26th, the day before TechEd starts.
Originally we wanted to start the journey in Frankfurt and then go via Munich and Salzburg to Vienna. But as this turned out to be a 9+ hour journey, the route is now Frankfurt directly to Vienna in 7 hours.

We haven’t decided on any official program for the journey yet, but are open for ideas. Seeing there is no on-site community day this year, this could be an opportunity to present cool new ideas or maybe just bring along some topics you would like to discuss. Some of us will bring 3G sticks, so if the connectivity is a bit better than last year, we will try to stream (at least parts of) the journey.

So, if you are interested in hanging out with your SCN friends, starting the conversation on this pre-TechEd event please sign up in the wiki here.

Update: This is not an offical event sponsored by SAP, so everyone will have to buy their own train tickets etc. (We will of course buy group tickets, so we should be able to get discounts)
