There is little doubt that the concept of continuous auditing/monitoring is hot among internal auditors, SOX auditors, and the like. It was even mentioned recently in CFO magazine as a way in which companies can more efficiently gain assurance that their processes and controls are operating as intended. The quality of assurance also increases, as 100% of transactions can be monitored.

On October 9th, I will be leading a seminar in Singapore on this topic. It will be general in nature, but when it comes to tools those of SAP will be highlighted.

In an SAP environment, customers who own the SAP BusinessObjects solutions for business intelligence, risk management, process control, and access control can use them to build a continuous monitoring/auditing program that includes fraud detection.
