On Wednesday July 29th, 2009 the leadership of the newly activated SAP NetWeaver Portals Influence Council presented an introductory webcast. The purpose of this webcast was to announce the newly formed NetWeaver Portals Influence Council's charter, introduce its leadership, scope and next steps.
The council's goal is to bring interested members of the ASUG Portals Community together to share information, ideas, best practices regarding the SAP NetWeaver Portal, and to facilitate communication to SAP portal product management about product improvements based on customers' needs.
The presentation introduced the Influence Council process and qualifications for those interested in joining, and included the latest informational presentation from the SAP NetWeaver Portals product strategist about the new product versions.

The membership in the council is available to ASUG Installation members qualified based on the responses to the survey. We are actively seeking representative companies from cross section of industries and multiple usage models who are able to commit resources to the council process to join the council.
