This is a quick guide to upgrade your Portal 7 to EHPI1 NW701 with EHPI Installer. There are four main steps. Our experience was very smooth, the most effort we found was in the configuration stage. The Portal was only in down time for two and a half hours and our post upgrade testing came up with no errors. *1. Prerequisites and Required Notes** * ** /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in has 15 GB free space ** Ensure valid maintenance certificate 1236587 ** Clear out, old profiles, any old kernel directories ** Run Oracle statistics:brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t all ** Backup database, switch off Oracle redo logs ** Note 1251735 – EHPI installer ** Note 1161052 – EHPI Oracle note details ** Note 1240081 – Jce Policy ** SAWP space should be 20 GB ** /usr/sap 10GB ** Download files from Maintenance Optimizer ** cp *.SCA /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/ ** cp *.JAR /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/ ** cp *.xml /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/ ** Download EHPI installer *2. Starting Process*:4239 and choose “Start EHP Installer Frontend (SDTGui)* *
