my name is Katja and I am studying Business Information Technology for almost three years.
Now I am in my 6th practical phase and in the last weeks I dealt with the implementation of attachment transfer within SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1.
The implementation includes the download process of attached files from the backend system to the SAP mobile client for laptops and the other way round: the upload process.
The development regards the three architecture layers: backend, middleware (the Data Orchestration Engine) and the mobile client.
- In the backend new function modules to collect and update the data have to be implemented.
- In the middleware a backend adapter and a new data object should be created in order to assign the function modules and map the node elements.
- For the client the user interface and the associated events have to be adjusted.
The whole detailed download and upload process is documented in an eLearning session. The configuration steps within the DOE are illustrated with additional demos. Short code snippets to ease the client implementation are included as well.
