Finally a contest you can sink your teeth into!

During my show today as we were talking I decided it was about time that we have another contest here in the community, it’s been too long since our last one!

So since today’s show was all about “geek cooking” I decided that the contest should be something new and different. So the contest is to create a cookbook using ABAP, WDA, WDJ or other SAP technologies and better it should have some sort of a simple API.

Then the goal of course is to then fill it with recipes from the community.

Build a “cookbook” with video embeds based on WDA, WDJ or pure ABAP with of course API interface! Fill it with recipes from the community!

Everyone who gives it a go and shares a screen cam of what they create will get, hmm, let’s say how about 100 points! As for the recipes – what say you?

Another awesome show Friday!  While I'm not inspired to go film a video of myself cooking, beyond the short camping clips I shared, I was motivated to dust off my DBA chef's hat and look for ways to store and retrieve recipes.

I posted what I found on a blog post called How to cook with logic.  I hope this inspires others who might want to team up for community cooking, I mean coding.

Remember, the base application should be written in ABAP, though I think Craig is looking for mobile applications, web enabled, and, of course, while presentation is everything, a good UI never hurt.
