One of the new features we introduced in Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0 SP1 is Page Based Excel Exporting.
Page Based Excel Exporting retains the formatted look of the report, and bring it into Excel.
In this implementation in the Crystal Reports for Java runtime engine, we've achieved near complete compatibility with Page Base Excel Export in the Crystal Reports 2008 designer.
However, for various reasons, it's not 100% compatible. So we've created a whitepaper that describes these differences, and should be used to help set your expectations about what level of compatibility to expect.
