It was on August last year, I got a shock of my life, though not the biggest.  I was into SAP.  I did my graduation in Production Engineering and was fascinated about design though I never really was interested in manufacturing, I was interested in machine design, Layout design for factory.  Operations Research or Operations management is one thing that never ceased to impress me.  I was of the opinion that design and operations are something which I will never stop working on until I came into SAP.

Thereafter my opinion changed dramatically within a span of 1 year.  I was initially trained in ABAP.  Though programming comes naturally for me,  I somehow had a feeling of not being fully complete.  Almost immediatley after training, change came in the form of an oppurtunity to work in finance and largely treasury side of SAP.  It helped me rediscover myself, and also started giving shape to my childhood dream of working in finance.

Finance is an ocean, though it is a pleasure to swim through unless we meet up a tsunami.  If we are ready to learn in finance, it will take a minimum of 10 times our total life span to get a feel of finance.  If finance is an ocean, SAP is even larger, like a galaxy of sort.  When both combine together, there is going to no way we are going to stop admiring these two wonders.  Learning treasury and simulataneuosly learning to implement the concept in SAP was more like having the cake and asking to eat it.

SDN is a perfect prologue for the book called SAP.  If you are ready to learn and share, there is wiki, there is articles section and as always there are forums and also blogs.  There are enough ways, it is only that we are not yet ready for it yet.

With the advent of technology and the evolution of networking, it is going to be a simpler than ever process of sharing our ideas and thoughts.  After I wrote 2 or 3 wiki articles, I decided to try blogging and thus I have started to share my knowledge thorugh this.

Finally I have just started to live my dream or rather dream what I am.  There is whole new world to dream.

Expect more in this space as I will be sharing my experience along with you and find new ways of connecting with people and thus learing more.

I’m still living my dream!   I love technology – so for me it was “ABAP” and all the other fun programming tools that can be used with SAP.    There are many.

This is an exciting blog to read!   I love that you have found something you are happy doing;.

SCN is perfect for sharing and learning – I totally agree.  Prologe, yes.  I hope it is also part of the main story.

    Thank you for sharing!
