Spring is here and so is SAPPHIRE ‘09. 

Like in previous years, SAP and ASUG continue to co-locate the two events, SAPPHIRE & ASUG in one location. The event will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from May 12th to 14th (May 11th is a ASUG only conference day and is a pre-conference day for SAPPHIRE) . 

To adjust for cutback in traveling expenses in our customer base, SAP will only host the North America SAPPHIRE. 

Structurally, SAPPHIRE has also undergone some changes as well. Instead of having several separate villages for cross-industry solutions, they will be featured together in one village called “Success in the New Reality”. 

For SAP CRM, the “Success in the New Reality” village will feature the following:

  • Presentation by Securit discussing how they are able to maintain double-digit growth leveraging SAP CRM
  • Customer panel presentation on the on-demand topic, which include SAP CRM-on-Demand
  • Three demonstration pods: (1) Sales & marketing, (2) customer service, & (3) on-demand solutions which include SAP CRM-on-Demand

The CRM Customer Value Network(CVN) meeting will be featuring presentations from customers & SAP

There will be other CRM topic  being represented in other villages. 

In total:  8 presentations, 27 demo pods, and 2 special interest activities are  planned on the CRM topic

To help you and your customers plan for a productive SAPPHIRE ‘09,   the SAPPHIRE website also provides a sample agenda for sales, service, and marketing roles. Attendees interested in the CRM topic can also use this sample agenda as starting point to plan their SAPPHIRE experience.  The presentations are listed by date and time while the demo stations are grouped by villages.

Additionally, SAP will also be hosting a virtual online event that provides a glimpse into Sapphire called INSIGHTS from SAPPHIRE“.  The virtual event, available to SAP customers, analysts, bloggers, & press, will be online on Monday, May 11th and run through May 15th.   All keynotes will be streamed in real-time from Orlando and will also be available on demand afterward.  All presentations and demos from the “Success in the New Reality” will be available as recorded contents. 

Visitors to the various pods will be able to engage in live-chat with SAP personnel about the respective solutions featured in the pod. 

Additionally, visitors can also attend scheduled chat sessions with experts on the 7 topics, including Superior Customer Value.  For the Superior Customer Value topic, two chat sessions have been scheduled:

  • Tuesday, May 12th @ 8:00 am PDT hosted by Vinay Iyer, VP of Solution Marketing for SAP CRM
  • Wednesday, May 13th @ 9:00 am CET hosted by Tim Bolte, VP of Solution Management for SAP CRM
