New InnoCentive/SAP/Adobe Challenge: Flex Your Xcelsius SDK Muscles (and earn $15k, plus 10 copies of Creative Suite)

Just in time for SAPPHIRE, we put up a brand new InnoCentive Challenge. And in addition to money, you can also earn free copies of Adobe Creative Suite.

The SAP Innovation and Technology Pavillion is a global marketplace for prize-based open innovation. Open innovation can be broadly defined as the process by which an organization seeks ideas and expertise outside company walls. Seekers find solutions, and solvers earn cash prizes.

Brand New Challenge

For this new “Flex Your Xcelsius SDK Muscles Challenge” SAP and Adobe are teaming up to ask Solvers for creative ways of leveraging SAP’s Xcelsius and Adobe’s Flex software systems to better serve businesses in their data visualization needs.

Solvers need only to submit demonstrations of functioning software and will retain the exclusive rights to practice, sell or distribute it.  Find out more.

  • Challenge Reward: $15,000 USD, plus 10 copies of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Deadline:June 30, 2009

Project Overview

SAP and Adobe are jointly seeking novel ideas for using the SAP’s Xcelsius data visualization tool in conjunction with Adobe Flex to create custom interfaces and dashboards that solve business needs.

Solutions should fall within one of five categories including product integrations, visualization components, feature extensions, data connectors or outside the box with a $3,000 award going to a winner in each category or five total winners (one person could theoretically win all five prizes).

Additional prizes given to all winning solutions include a free license for Adobe Creative Suite and a 50% sponsorship towards getting the winning solution into the SAP Ecohub catalogue. The Seeker requests that Solvers submit only a demonstration of their technology – not the actual technology – so Solvers will continue to retain the exclusive rights to practice, distribute and sell their technologies during and after this Challenge.

Solve it now!
