Nakisa recently attended HR Kongress in Mannheim, Germany and SAP HR 2009 in Las Vegas, USA. I was not there myself due to the recent upsizing of my family – my daughter Nelly was born on February 28th. 🙂

 

HR Kongress

This show was well attended with over 1400 attendees this year. It is great to hear that many companies are still interested in managing their talent in the midst of this economic crisis. The people that attended were serious about their workforce planning initiatives and knew more about their specific talent management needs.

 

There was a lot of buzz at this show about the future challenges of personnel management, particularly in light of the economic crisis. Companies are realizing more and more that they need to develop and retain their high potential talent and fill their critical roles so they can deliver on future business objectives.

 

Haniel, our joint customer with SAP, presented the SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa solution in both the keynote presentation as well as their session. Haniel, a current Enhancement Package 4 ramp up customer, demonstrated to attendees the importance of developing a high-performing workforce in critical times like these.

 

SAP HR 2009

My team recently came back from SAP HR 2009 in Las Vegas where there was lots of talk around managing talent through the economic crisis and how HR can help. Most events lately are focusing on this theme, which hopefully doesn’t become too repetitive for attendees.

 

Although there was a noticeable decline in attendance from last year, it is encouraging to know that the same number of companies was present. Just like HR Kongress, the attendees were serious about talent management and were actively looking for solutions to address their unique business challenges.

 

This event was a great opportunity to meet with our customers face to face and hear about how they are coping with the crisis. Nakisa and SAPs joint customer Wrigley spoke about how they achieved better visibility into their global talent pool, enhanced communication and collaboration and made better informed talent decisions through their org charting solution, providing advice to other companies on how they can address their talent needs and rise above the economic turmoil.
