We are interested to install EHP4

We cannot download the SAP ERP 6.0 ehp4 directly in our Solution Manager .
We have read the note SAP 143022 -Installation of SAP Enhancement Package 4 on SAP ERP 6.0.

“DVDs for Enhancement Package 4 are not automatically sent to customers. If you cannot use the Maintenance Optimizer for the download, request the DVD with the material number 51033594 and also the DVDs of SAP NW 7.01 (if not yet installed) from your local subsidiary, or download the DVD from SAP Service Marketplace.”

We try to download this material at Sap Service Markeplace but there are unavailable.

We have take a look to the Product Matrix Availability and the EHP4 for SAP ERP is RAMP-UP phase since 21.11.2008.

    We appreciate your opinions .

    Thanks in advance.

You have to participate in the RampUp to “see” the material in the Service Marketplace (http.//service.sap.com/rampup) – or wait until the official release (21st of may AFAIK).

      Hi,

you would need to apply for the EHP4 Ramp Up to be able to download EHP4.
We currently plan to end Ramp-Up in May 2009.

      Best regards,
      Christian.

we are on ecc6.0 with sp14 and  interested in testing out EhP4. Can this be installed with ABAP version of installation as we dont have sol manager.
How to check what is the EhP we are on, Is it pre-requisite to have EhP1,2 and 3 installed for EhP4.

    Regards.,
    Laks

I understand that EHP4 will exit out from ramp-up on May 4, 2009. However, do you know when EHP4 will be generally available to all the SAP ERP 6.0 customers (i.e. we can download from Solution Manager without participating into the ramp-up program)?

    Thanks,
    Cary

    Hello,

I’d like to know what are the exact pre requisites to EhP4 in termes of NW version? Is it 700 or 701?

We have a double stack system where the Java stack is disabled. We are in ECC 6.0 (NW 700).

Besides, if the NW version should be 701 for EhP4, the only way to upgrade to 701 is to install EhP1 ?

    Thank you.

i’ve checked the Upgrade Guide for SAP Enhancement Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0 ABAP Based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Including Enhancement Package 1 and i’ve seen that SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70 Extension Set 2.00 is included in the list of source release.is it possible to perform a direct upgrade or do we need to upgrade to SAP ERP 6.0 first then to EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0? Are there any best practices about having a stabilization period with SAP ERP 6.0  before moving to EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0?

      Hi Regina,

yes it is possible and recommended to directly upgrade to SAP ERP 6.0 including the selected parts from EHP4 (=Technical Usages). For further details please have a look at the Master Guide and Upgrade Guides.

      Best regards,
      Christian.
