I hope you all enjoyed the first part of the Blog about the SAP insider Conference in Orlando (Day One from the SAP Insider Conference in Orlando - SAP PLM). I am now listing what happened during the next days.
At 8:30 on day two Hans presented the PLM Keynote. The main message was the focussing on Themes and Value Scenarios, and how well the new developments from PLM 7.0 and the Business Suite are supporting the overall end-to-end aproach. As an illustration I gave a demo, where an end-to-end scenario was walked-through directly inside the system. The overall scenario was quite similar to the demo that was shown during the overall launch of the Business Suite a few weeks ago (link). This presentation was very well attended - luckily enough we had a room big enough - unlike other colleagues...
In one of the next sessions Renato went into the details of the Integrated Product Development (IPD) Scenario. He went through the high-level summary of the whole scenario and did then a more detailed explanation of the individual building blocks.
In the afternoon I presented the news on PLM 7.0 in front of a nearly completely full room. In order to make the presentation more interesting I explained the many new features and concepts via a walk-through of the new system, including analytics, external access and the new improved usability.
The evening ended in the Hickory Steakhouse, where the members of the Customer Value Network used the opportunity to discuss the various presntations and share their experiences.
The next day Renato repeated the session about Easy DMS, and Markus went into the details of the Resource and Portfolio Management. Later the day Rob introduced - similar to Renatos presentation of the IPD scenario - the Continuous Product and Service Innovation. On Thursday I had the pleasure to repeat my presentation on the news in PLM 7.0.
Overall it was a very succesfull and interesting event, where we all had many occasions to discuss the various topics of interest (Themes, Collaboration, Integration, ...) with our partners, the very interested and active customers and the industry analysts.
