in our solution management team we are currently analyzing the topic service processing at distribution system operators in liberalized markets.
We have worked out a questionnaire to find out the tasks and responsibilities of the market actor “Distribution System Operator”(DSO) in relation to service processing.
Unbundling forces utilities to separate their systems in the next future. This also tears the former integrated service process into pieces. In this new environment market communication will be necessary to handle collaborative service processes.
In this context we are especially interested in questions like:

Who is dropping a service request at a DSO? Is the customer requesting the service directly from the DSO or is this request send via the retailer?

Which are the most relevant customer triggered service processes?

How does scheduling work, if the retailer acts as mediator between customer and DSO?

How should monitoring work in a for collaborative service processes?

How does the DSO bill the retailer for the execution of services?

What are the data that need to be communicated between the market parties?
