Technology product creation is often far removed from the end user.  Think of the number of SAP developers you’ve met in your life.  Ever got to shake the hand of the guy who wrote that FM you use everyday — probably not.  With the tearing down of walls and the socialization of software, companies on the endges of that movement, like Atlassian ( the makers of the Confluence wiki used here on SDN ) you get to know the people who create the products like never before.

I’ve met Jeffery Walker, the president of Atlassian software, and had the pleasure of talking with him on the Enterprise Irregulars group on many occassions.  Jefferey is an amazing guy and is doing amazing things with enterprise software.

Today Jeffery annouced on his blog that his cancer is back.  Jeffery has beaten cancer twice already so this is the 3rd time around for him.  Still I think we all appreciate the product he has helped give us so, I think we can give him some support on his blog.  Go leave a kind message for him:

Thanks for sharing this.  I believe there is much healing in your heartfelt suggestion.  I see many of our “friends” have already responded to Jeff and imagine others bring much comfort and hope by continuing to do so.
