Q4 Wrap-Up: What happened in the last quarter of 2008 in the SAP Business One Community

Starting this year, I will be providing you with a quarterly-based summary of activities and achievements for the SAP Business One Community within the SAP Community Network.
This blog will cover the fourth quarter of 2008.
- Forums
- The number of localized SAP Business One Forums has been extended to include the German SAP Business One Forum; additionally, the order in which the forums appear has changed. The local language forums are now grouped together at the end of the forums list.
- The “Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions” threads have been released in all Forum localizations (The Top10 most frequently asked questions and answers (FAQ) November 2008, Las Top 10 preguntas y respuestas mas frecuentes(FAQ), As Top 10 perguntas e respostas mais frequentes(FAQ), [分享]11月份10大问题, Die Top10 der meist gestellten Fragen und Antworten (FAQ) November 2008) and will be updated frequently.
- In CW45 of 2008, the SAP Business One main forum reached 500,000 total views, which is a great success for the 16 month old forum.

10 Blogs were written in the Q4/ 2008; one of the most viewed blogs is the blog about the New patch updates notification services for SAP Business One, with nearly 3000 Views.

The wiki was redesigned on October2nd, 2008, and three new main elements were added:
- The SAP Business One E-Commerce & Web CRM section covers the identically named add-on for SAP Business One, which fills an existing need of the SAP Business One customer base by offering two additional capabilities that will support SAP’s SME strategy: providing storefront merchandising capabilities and sales force automation.
- The Crystal Reports section is about the Crystal Reports Integration for SAP Business One, which offers a quick and easy mechanism for publishing any Crystal Reports .rpt file to the SAP Business One menu and executing and viewing the report via the .Net Winform viewer.
- And finally, the Industry Solutions section offers partners a space to position their own SAP Business One solution.

Looking at this 2nd chart, you might wonder why the SDK Forum has a negative thread count. The SAP Global Support Center, which takes part in moderating the forum, was doing maintenance in many SAP Business One forums in Q4. In the SDK Forum, many old unanswered threads were deleted. This also led to the decline in number of messages in the same forum (see also chart below).
