How to Configure URL in Second Level Navigation in CRM 2007 

Launch an URL

 

Step 1 :  Define your URL in the URL Repository

 

Call Transaction SM30  and Maintain view in CRMV_IC_LTX_URL Table.

Maintain the below details in the New Entries

 

URL ID  – SDN.SAP

Description – SDN Site

Request Method – Get

Tick the Radio button for Non- BSP URL

URL :  http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn

Save your Entries

 

Step – 2  

Call the Transaction CRMC_UI_ACTIONWZ or go to IMG path CRM – UI Frame work – Technical Role Definition – Configure Transaction Launcher – It takes you to Wizard complete the steps .

Maintain Id as ZSDN and Component Set as – ALL and select continue.

Enter Description as SDN and class name as ZCL_SDN and check the box of Stateful and unchecked the box Raise Veto .

If you Select Stateful – It will Open in New Page and Raise Veto – It will Open in Work center Hub Page ( On the Right Hand Side ).

 

Choose Transaction Type as URL and maintain URL ID as below –

Skip the Steps of Transaction Parameters and Activity Clip board integration by selecting continue button and finally completely wizard of Transaction launcher.

 

 Step 3 : Integrate URL into the Navigation Bar 

Execute Transaction CRMC_UI_NBLINKS or go to the IMG path – CRM – UI Framework – Technical Role Definition – Define Navigation Bar Profile.

After Selecting Navigation Bar Profile – Double click on Define Logical links and go to New Entries and maintain the necessary information as mentioned in the below screen shot.

Save it.

 

Step – 4 : Select Define Direct Link Groups at the dialog structure on the left hand side by double click.

Create a New Entries and maintain Group id and Description –

Step – 5 – Assign Links  

Create a New Entry for Logical Link id and maintain the position and save it .

Step – 6  

After the Above Process Go to Define Work Center Link Groups from the Dialogue Structure , Select your Work Center Group id and Double click on Assign Links and go for New Entries ( Here im going to Assign the SDN Logical Link of URL which I have created going to assign Under the Work center of ABC links )

Step – 7  

 

Go to the Business roles by T-code – CRMC_UI_PROFILE  or by path IMG- CRM- Business roles – Define Business role – choose your Role and go to Adjust Group Center Group Links and choose your Link and Activate it and save it .For more clarity see the below screen shot.

Note : In the above screen shot In Menu – means for Second level Navigation and Visible – means When we select ABC Work center  – On the right hand side of Work Center area we can see the Link.

 

Login to the System with the Role you have configured .

 

Output : We can see our Logical link of SDN Under the Work center of ABC , it is in Second level Navigation.

      All those steps which i have mentioned above were Step by Step process of Customization & Configuration . Dont come to conclusion that its an Copied one. My best wishes to you.
