Tom Jung on ASUG Developer Tools Day (U.S.) [UPDATED 03-Nov-2008]

Check it out!

[03-Nov-2008 UPDATE – the following was previously  posted to ]

This morning, as I was yet again trying to clean up unanswered emails I found one from an ASUG member who had attended the 2007 Developers Tools Day and wanted to know what was happening in 2008. Fortunately, I procrastinated just long enough that the first agenda for this year was posted on the ASUG site.

I will transcribe a few highlights.  The full document and registration link are below.

Well-known SAP speakers:

  • Kathleen (Katie) Beavers
  • Thomas Jung
  • Peter McNulty

There are 2 tracks planned.  Last year, it was ABAP vs. Java.  This year, track 1 includes Web Dynpro for ABAP, Enterprise Services and the Enhancement Framework.Track 2 will include the Netweaver BI and Business Object Roadmap, Introduction to Composite Applications, and SOA Governance and SOA Patterns and Anti-Patterns.

Both tracks combine for an Update on SAP UI (User Interface) Strategy and then an open panel discussion.

We’re still getting plans together for the “night before” and will let you know what is happening as soon as we know. As I write this, over 70 registrants have signed up; since only 200 FREE slots will be made available you should make plans to attend very, very soon.  The states where we have sign-ups are:

Update 03-Nov-2008  Over 85 registered; nearing half-full
