Hello Everyone,September was again a busy month for us here in Support. Altogether we contributed 8,900 points to the SAP Business One Forums which I am thoroughly pleased about. A contribution this large shows again that we are committed to the community and are going about to deliver knowledge in an online open media way. Contributions came across all Forums and from all locations where we are located and to those who made these I wish to say thank you.

We created a new forum called Reporting and Printing where issues relating to PLD/ALD/Crystal Reports/XLR/Queries/FMS will be posted. We also have experts in this area working there to help you with your issues. I have spent some time moving threads from the other forums to the new one, so please going forward ensure that you post on the correct forum.

We also have now live our Self Help and Support Library which we are starting to fill with content. The idea to give you our partners an insight into how we resolve your issue and also to make a targeting knowledge transfer to you which should help ease your support workloads. The link to the pages can be found on the main support pages in the Channel Partner Portal.

Comments to this I would like to receive at paul.finneran@sap.com

We also are addressing an issue with our note search tool which should bring even better results to you when searching for a SAP note. I would like to mention here that many issues are commonly found in notes and a good note search is vital to this.I would ask everyone who contributes to the forums to close off threads which are no longer open and award the points as appropriate to those who have helped resolve your issue. Particularly in the SDK forum there are many 1000's of threads which are still open even though they have received valid solutions and workarounds.

Here for the goodness of the community, please close threads by awarding points. As you may (or may not) know by awarding point you are directly contributing to the World Food Program so if for no other reason, please send some time to close off the threads. So that is my update for the month, we will continue working on the forums and with the project to refer consulting/how to messages to the forums for the next months. There has been positive feedback to this approach and as you can see the forums and the members are the ones who are benefiting from this.

Regards,

Paul Finneran
