ABAP at Community Day Berlin

OK, I’m excited about this one! I’ve actually been holding off and sharing this one but decided I couldn’t do that, I had to let everyone know in enough time to actually change their plans and sign up for Community Day while there are still slots. This and our other panel discussions might well be worth the cost of admission by themselves!

Andreas Blumenthal, Boris Gebhardt and Horst Keller have all agreed to host a session on the world of ABAP!

  • Andreas will give an introduction about the importance of ABAP today and in the future and will promote the ABAP feature backport story.
  • Horst and Boris will show/demo some hot topics of the ABAP feature backport
  • Open Q&A

Still not sure? Well at last years TechEds these guys showed everyone some of the new features and ABAP technolgies being developed and those ready to be deployed from the past couple of years but as with many things not everything was put out there yet.

One reason is a major effort around a “downport project” so that you can boost your development efficiency!

  • code completion
  • string templates
  • secondary key for internal tables
  • major tool improvements

All this will be at your fingertips starting with SAP Business Suite 2009 and these guys are going to show you all of that and much much more! Not to mention the open Q&A for all those other questions you’ve bubbling up in your minds already!

Don’t miss this!

According to the Urban Dictionary, that is imbibing a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine and champagne all in one sitting. href="" target="_top"> Triple Whammy

Having had the pleasure of an audience with two of the three (I'll let you guess which one is the red, the white and the champagne), I'd say you folks are in for a treat. Read bios here:

I will be there and after reading this blog I am even more excited to be there.
Sessions like this are exactly the reason why I am coming to Berlin.

      Unfortunately I won't be there:(
Is there already some public information available which ABAP release is involved in this "downport project"? Or it's just an 7.10 -> 7.00 downport?
