10,000 blogs, 1,000,000 threads, pretty soon, it turns into real intelligence
My Mentor buddy Nigel “contrived” to post SCN blog 10,000 and more power to him. The other day, I noticed that the number of threads in the discussion forums had rolled past 1,000,000. It was trivial to enter a URL and find the milestone.
Well, I was underwhelmed in a way, as the subject was one that forum moderators detest, “please compare non-SAP product A to non-SAP product B.” No slight to the poster, er poser, well, maybe a little, we won’t do your homework for you. Besides, the question is unanswerable anyway. It’s like saying could you compare a Chevy to a Ford. I’d buy Consumer Reports and listen to them, but someone else might take them for test drives. etc.
And, dude, close your open questions:

That’s just 2 weeks ago, or so. Within 2 weeks from now, crowds will assemble at the Las Vegas casinos and win enough money to pay for their trip home. No, wait, crowds will assemble for the Olympics, no, the Democratic National Convention, no, no, no the Republican National Convention. No, still not it. SAP TechEd 2008; that’s it!
While I won’t be there (rumour has it I’m going on a Continental Op) in person, I will be there in spirit. Look for SAP Mentors handing out the buttons pictured on the left below, and SAP Mentors/ASUG Volunteers handing out the other side of my brain.

Sadly IDOC FIDCCP01 for Preliminary Posting
