The SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment is SAP’s primary offering for leveraging existing SOA capabilities provided by SAP. TechEd 2008 will feature many sessions focusing on how to get the maximum out of SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment.

Many picture Composition Environment as a fancy development environment to develop cool composites leveraging SOA capabilities. Thats absolutely right but the good news does’nt end there! The Composition Environment 7.1 also packs a punch in the Lifecycle Management Area. The session LCM212 at TechEd 2008 focuses exactly on the lifecycle management offerings in SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1. This one hour lecture will cover how the lifecycle of composite applications which are built using SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment can be supported.

It focuses on all the phases of a typical lifecycle of a composite:

1. Installation of the platform
2. Development of the composite application
3. Build and shipment of the composite application
4. Consumption of the composite application
5. Configuration, operation and maintainence of the composite application
6. Managing change
