To facilitate enhanced product specification and development, together with incisive commentary on industry thought leadership, SAP for Chemicals relies heavily on feedback and validation of solutions and components from influencers and steering bodies, such as the Chemical Industry SAP Users' Group, otherwise known as CISUG.
CISUG was established in 2005 under the Chemical Information Technology Center (ChemITC) as an independent association of chemical industry customers using SAP solutions. In 2008, CISUG realigned itself to become an affiliated special interest group within the Americas' SAP Users' Group (ASUG), which describes itself as "a community of like-minded SAP professionals...helping each other find new and better ways to solve problems and achieve their business goals."
