To coincide with the ramp-up and upcoming general release of the SAP REACH Compliance solution, the BPX community has established the first dedicated roundtable on the subject.
Marko Lange is master of ceremonies, since he moderates the online discussion area which allows all interested business process experts to contribute, comment, and share ideas on the REACH solution and legislation with the collective aim of enhancing our pool of knowledge and expertise in this extensive area of compliance.
It's important to note that within the next couple of years the average chemical company is estimated to handle 15,000 compliance projects; each involving substance registration, usage and management, supply chain, financial and legal processes.
REACH legislation places the burden of proving the safety of chemical substances, products and consumer use on the manufacturer and importer. Under the stringent directives, Chemical, Consumer Product, Mill Products, Oil&Gas, Pharmaceutical and other process manufacturers will be denied the right to trade non-compliant substances within the European Union (EU).
