Friday Morning Report – May 30, 2008 – Work Life Balance

Today’s show was about the idea and practice of Work Life Balance. Many of us dream of what an 8 hour work day might be like as many of us work 10 to 12 hour days. Some work even longer. Do we need to? Is there a reason behind the madness?

  • Break up your day, week, month and year
  • take time out to keep your self healthy and sustainable

      Hi Craig,

The sound comes across as a bit clipped & distorted - I think it might be better if you turned *down* the gain on your mic.

      Cheers,
      Darren

Will work on the sound issues, although I think they might be more related to network connection as opposed to settings.

At the risk of adding to your already-huge workload, perhaps you could record the audio from your computer while doing the show? That would enable two cool things:
      1. The ability to listen to the FMR as a podcast while driving
      2. Decent sound quality due to no network constraints

      What do you think?

      Cheers,
      Darren

Never tried that, not sure the flash control will let me do a local record as well - will give it a shot.

Cool!  Thanks, Craig - I'm looking forward to you joining TWiT, The Java Posse and the Stanford Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders podcasts on my drive to/from work.
