Please note, although this list is substantial, I do not wish to imply it is in any way 100% complete:

Hi, Thanks for the details.  I’m considering using BPC, but I’m not seeing a lot of use of BPC.  A search of BPC returns only documents and absolutely no discussions about BPC.  Is BPC NW still the direction instead of BW IP?

      Hi Ken-

BPC was formally called OutlookSoft (OLS) before the SAP purchase in 2007.  There are thousands of customers using OLS as well as SAP’s updated version previously call Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), but now called BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation (still BPC).  OLS was rebranded by SAP as BPC5.1 soon after the rights were purchased.  There are two versions of SAP BPC, BPC version for Microsoft and BPC version for Netweaver.  BPC-Microsoft has only recently exited SAP’s Ramp Up program and became generally available. BPC_Netweaver, however is still in ramp up so has a very limited user base right now.  Because the ramp up program is by design a limited release, you would not expect a high user base at this time for the new products.

BPC NW is SAP’s lead planning/consolidation application.  BI-IP (BI Integrated Planning) will still be available for some time however and should be considered when deciding on a strategic planning application.

Sorry for the long winded explaination.  Hope this helps!

      Sheldon

This is nice list of commands, which can be used to optimize and automatic user-defined functions.

What I miss, is the correct syntax and parameters fo these funtions? Where can I find them?

    Rgds,
