Crystal Reports 2008 Crystal Reports 2008 has a new feature to allow .NET addins to the Report Designer. The attached sample contains a .NET WinForm based application that can be launched from the Crystal Reports designer. The application takes a list of string values and outputs personalized PDFs to a specified directory. A README.rtf is included in the zip file with full instructions on running and deploying the sample.

The sample has been precompiled into cscMassExport3.dll to allow you to try the feature without starting up Visual Studio 2005. Full source code is also included.

Technical Notes

The application was created using Crystal Reports 2008 and Visual Studio 2005. You will need the .NET 2.0 Crystal Reports 2008 .NET runtime installed on the machine running the addin. These components are installed by default if you have the .NET 2.0 runtime on your machine, so no special deployment steps should be necessary in most cases.

Have fun!
