Crystal Reports PowerTweak #3 - Replacing the Splash Screen
New for Crystal Reports 2008, you can replace the startup splash screen with your own favorite bitmap. Place a bitmap named splash.bmp into the same directory as crw32.exe (by default C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86)
The bitmap can be any size and valid .bmp file. If for any reason the custom splash.bmp fails to load, Crystal Reports will default back to the "out-of-the-box" Crystal Reports splash screen.
You can use this feature to custom brand the Crystal Reports designer with your own logo, or put that little personal touch into the startup experience for the Crystal Reports designer.
