As most of you may have already noticed, the “Getting Started with the Web Services SDK” series is a part of an e-book available on Diamond. The title of the e-book is (as expected) Getting Started with the Web Services SDK.

From now on, I won’t refer to the content developed as “a part of the Getting Started with the WS SDK series”, but instead refer to the e-book. I recently updated the articles so they’re now organized as chapters in this e-book and I’ve updated the titles of each chapter as well.

I’ve also removed the introduction paragrah and the “Prerequisistes” section I had with each article:

Welcome to the second in the six part series entitled Getting Started with the Web Services SDK. This series is intended to provide you with an overview of the Web Services (WS) SDK available with the following
Business Objects products:

  • Crystal Reports Server XI
  • BusinessObjects Enterprise XI
  • BusinessObjects Edge

This series includes the following articles:

  • Getting Started with the Web Services SDK Part I: Introduction
  • Getting Started with the Web Services SDK Part II: Installation and Configuration
  • Getting Started with the Web Services SDK Part III: Managing Enterprise Sessions – The Session Web Service
  • Getting Started with the Web Services SDK Part IV: Completing Administrative Tasks – The BIPlatform Web Service
  • Getting Started with the Web Services SDK Part V: Retrieving Document Views-  The ReportEngine Web Service
  • Getting Started with the Web Services SDK Part VI: Conclusion

I’ve taken this content and created a new Introduction chapter in the e-book.

The core content of the articles hasn’t changed; I just updated the structure of the e-book. If you have any suggestions or comments on this structure, feel free to post them.

Cheers!
Parin
