Format PainterA very common question report authors have is how to use the Format Painter to paint multiple objects.  If you click on the Format Painter button on the toolbar there is a message in the Status bar that tells you how to do this.  You can do this by holding down the "Alt" key while you click the various objects you want to paint. Another way to do this is to double click the Format Painter button.  This is called a Sticky Button.  This leaves you in paint mode and you can click on all the objects you want to paint without having to hold down any keys.  To exit this mode either hit the "ESC" key or click on the Format Painter button again.  This same method is how you would do it in Microsoft Office as well.

Sticky Buttons are enabled for other toolbar objects as well such as Lines, Boxes and Text boxes.  Sticky Buttons are available in Crystal Reports XI Release 2 and Crystal Reports 2008.
