I have been reading a lot about Virtualization on SDN for past few months now. And at first given opportunity, I wanted to give it a try. Initially, I wanted to start with normal GNU/Linux[Why call it GNU/Linux? I have explained it here (http://www.osweekly.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2242)] installation. I installed VMWare on my Redmond XP machine and then installed Fedora Core 3 on that. It was a cakewalk to install Core 3 on VM. . Here, make sure you have *Sun Java installed. *I had initially GNU Java and it gave me runtime errors while installing the GUI.

4. The installation will ask the directory where Gui has to be installed(default is /opt/)

5. Go to /opt/SAPClients/SAPGUI7.00rev6/bin

6. Run ./guilogon

Thats it! This is how it looks:
