Hi Dominick – I enjoyed your session this week and I have one question.  What I wanted to know is when can we do the R/3 order entry in the portal, ie what version of R/3 do we need. Because I have tried using the portal iview and it doesn’t work with our version of R/3.  We’re on release 4.6c.

      Hi Linda,
Well, our SAP E-Commerce for SAP ERP / R/3 is not officially supported for SAP NetWeaver Portal. This means, some of the special features in the E-Commerce for CRM version with regards to portal integration are not available (some session handling, special iviews). The reason is that we deliver the portal business package with the out-of-the-box iviews for E-Commerce/E-Service only for CRM. While we do have customers that have enabled to run our E-Commerce for ERP web shop to run insider NetWeaver portal, it is a project specific enhancement. Certainly, it makes sense to take a look at the CRM based business package (if possible) to see how the integration was done there. The R/3 release (4.6c) is not the reason for this. Hope this helps.
