Forums are now available as of SAP NetWeaver 2004 SP Stack 20 as well as SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (formerly known as SAP NW 2004s) SP Stack 12. For more information you can read the What you need to know about the new forums in SAP NetWeaver Portal.
Here are some of the feature highlights:
- The forums are designed with intuitive user interfaces that enable users to discuss common issues and topics, post questions and announcements to the community, watch forums (with notifications) and get updates on posted comments. Users can also create draft versions of postings, personalize their forum themes, or vote in polls.
- Forums also include extensive and easy-to-use moderation features such as content control by approval processes, by deleting and moving content, and also by closing discussions.
- The web-based forums admin tool makes it easy to delete, edit and move messages, manage permission-levels and organize the hierarchy of categories and forums.
Since they are available, forums have been downloaded from Service Marketplace by many SAP customers and internal SAP users. Thanks for your interest in our new Portal functionality!!!
