Many of you might have wondered what the best and easiest way to Enterprise Services for the Healthcare Industry was. In this blog, which is the first one of a series summing up the Hands-On-Session on the Business Process Platform for Healthcare at the 8th Public Services Ecosystem Summit, you’ll find an answer, or even several ones…

One possible way is to navigate to the enterprise services through the business solution maps as it is described in Engineering a Business Process Platform for Healthcare Part 4 – Here’s the beef. But there are other ways to go. Anyway, the entry point for all of them is the Enterprise Services Workplace.

The other way is to go through the Enterprise Services Bundles. A Bundles covers a set of Enterprise Services for a certain scenario or set of scenarios. In the Healthcare area you can find two Bundles that are already shipped and described through Wikis: the Foundation for Collaborative Health Networks and the Resources and Supply Chain Planning for Healthcare Providers. The third one which is available refers to an upcoming bundle on Patient Administration.

The third way you could take is via the process components that are available per product. In the Process Component View of Time and Labour Management you can for example find the services for all business object related to the HR data of your hospital staff:

And there is even a fourth way: you can go through the Integration Scenarios and from there to the interfaces of the Business objects:

When clicking on the right process component you’ll find the available interfaces like:

If you want to test services via the workplace you can request a user Access the Enterprise Services Workplace Systems. Have fun!
