I just wanted to tell all of you that we reached another milestone as we are cllosing out 2007. Yesterday we launched a new learning on demand area that we are piloting that provides members very premium content

The content provides 24/7 access to online resources including class materials and community discussions. The initiative is designed to qualify additional and further develop existing SAP professionals.  In a press release that went out today Nina Simosko, chief operating officer for SAP Education said:  “Feedback throughout the SAP ecosystem cites distance learning as a key to increasing satisfaction and retention. Current and future SAP professionals expect the role of distance learning to increase over the next two or three years. The outstanding curriculum within this convenient format will help take IT and business professionals’ careers to another level, complementing other delivery channels such as e-academies, blended learning, and classroom training.”

The SAP LoD Knowledge Center on our communities will initially address a number of SDN and Business Process Expert Community channel subjects, including SAP NetWeaver and business process topics. Additional courses will be added in 2008.

SAP Education annually trains more than 300,000 professionals including SAP customers, partners, and other IT professionals, helping to build their SAP skills to address IT and business challenges and solutions.  So these sessions are developed by highly trained proffessionals and have been given to many of our customers and partners. We are hopeful that the prototype will prove the B2C market is viable for SAP to service, and if so, SAP education will move to expand the presence of LoD far beyond the SDN & BPX  communities in 2008.

Happy learning !

Marco
